Our Mission
Our mission is to assist projects dealing with the conservation of specific animal species and habitats in countries throughout Latin America. Projects like the Darwin Frog in Chile or the amphibians being impacted by human mining practices in Colombia. Projects that help the preservation of carnivorous species such as jaguars that range from Mexico to Brazil that are facing extinction from hunting and other practices. We believe that for this to work there must be a balance between animals, habitats, and humans. We aim to work with the human populations that are sharing habitats with vulnerable species and want to come up with solutions that will benefit both. Projects that help the animals without undermining or compromising the quality of life for humans in the area. We work to achieve these goals by:
Specific Objectives
- Support the education of specialists in the area of conservation biology (in situ or ex situ.) Including veterinary medicine, pathology, epidemiology, animal nutrition, agronomy, general husbandry, conservation education, management of conservation projects among others.
